Hudson Entertainment slashes mobile gaming staff

Hudson Entertainment, the North American publishing unit of entertainment provider Hudson Soft, announced a reorganization of its mobile games division that will result in an unspecified number of layoffs targeting its among its Q&A and porting staff. Blaming the cuts on the challenges of porting cost management, Hudson Entertainment said it has already implemented "a more cost-effective outsourced solution." The company said it remains on schedule to develop, publish and market its 2008 mobile game slate, with titles including Bomberman Land, Military Madness 2 and R-Type in the pipeline.
