Hurray merging with Enlight Media
Chinese mobile content provider Hurray and Chinese independent television producer Enlight Media have agreed to a merger valued at about $160 million, reports the Wall Street Journal. Citing sources close to the negotiations, the WSJ says Hurray will change its name to Hurray Enlight Media Group--Enlight will own 42 percent of the combined company, with Enlight CEO Wang Changtian taking the helm. The deal effectively creates China's largest independent content provider, bringing together Enlight's media production expertise with Hurray's distribution reach.
