Idevio collaborates with Ericsson on mobile mapping

Mapping, geocoding and routing software provider Idevio announced a partnership with supplier giant Ericsson to power Ericsson Mobile Maps, a new location solution introduced in conjunction with the fledgling Ericsson Labs portal. Based on Idevio's patented RaveGeo mapping technology, the Mobile Maps toolkit enables developers to build rich mobile applications complete with an integrated map display and functionalities including dynamic zoom, pan, address search and directions. Idevio adds that the technology offered via Mobile Maps is the same as utilized in its free Locago open mobile map service, which boasts more than 600,000 users worldwide.
