IDG goes mobile via mdog
Technology media publisher International Data Group announced a partnership with mobile platform developer mdog to optimize its online media properties for mobile devices. The agreement includes all of IDG's U.S. online properties, including cio.com, computerworld.com, gamepro.com, infoworld.com, macworld.com and pcworld.com; each site automatically determines whether the consumer is entering via mobile handset, and if so directs them to the mobile-optimized content.
"Our readers are some of the most mobile, technologically sophisticated consumers of news and information," said IDG Communications president Bob Carrigan in a statement. "We want to be out front in meeting their needs and learning how often they use and how much they rely on mobile content. We selected mdog technology because it is the best available for rendering content and it allows us to sell advertising designed for the mobile reader."
