InfoSpace mobile media head Davis resigns

InfoSpace announced the pending exit of Stephen J. Davis, who will resign his post as president of mobile and online media effective January 1. The firm will not refill the position in light of recent restructuring--in late September, InfoSpace lost its ringtone licensing relationship with Cingular, followed by news it planned to de-emphasize its focus on consumer mobile content in favor of online and mobile infrastructure. Davis joined InfoSpace in November 2005 after serving as president of Granada America, the U.S. development and production arm of British broadcaster ITV.
