'Inspector Gadget' investigates iPhone

Game developer Namco Bandai Networks announced an agreement with animation production firm Cookie Jar Entertainment to introduce Inspector Gadget, a new iPhone and iPod touch title based on the mid-1980s syndicated cartoon about a bumbling, bionic detective. Available via Apple's App Store for $5.99, Inspector Gadget enables gamers to play as the title character, his niece Penny or their dog Brian as they progress through six action levels and six mini-games either in Story mode or Quick Play mode. Assorted gadgets and gizmos from the series also return in the game. Namco adds that Inspector Gadget is broadcast in 24 languages across 55 countries.
