Intercasting buddies up to Sprint
Mobile media firm Intercasting announced the launch of its Anthem mobile social networking platform on select Sprint phones. Sprint will be the first operator to launch Anthem, which offers subscribers mobile access to web-based social networking and community sites including LiveJournal, Vox, Xanga and Rabble. The Anthem platform promises social networking users a simplified user interface for viewing photos, sending and receiving messages, posting comments and searching profiles; the service will debut next week on select Sprint handsets for $2.99 per month.
"Anthem makes it possible for mobile users to participate in two of the most significant trends in online communication--social networking and user generated content," said Shawn Conahan, Intercasting president. "We are very pleased that Sprint has selected Anthem to enable their customers to access a broad range of leading social networking and community sites."
