Intercasting debuts Photobucket sharing app
Mobile social networking platform provider Intercasting announced the launch of a wireless-to-web application enabling users to share, upload and transfer their cameraphone photos via image-sharing site Photobucket. The application, built for Intercasting's Anthem platform and based on Photobucket's just-released API, promises firms including Intercasting the tools to create apps and services enabling users to access their Photobucket pics and videos from environments outside the Photobucket.com site, among them other websites, desktop apps, browser plug-ins, digital cameras and, of course, mobile devices. "The Photobucket API lets us tap into a valuable audience of millions of people who store, share and search billions of photos and videos on the Photobucket site," said Intercasting founder and CEO Shawn Conahan in a prepared statement. "With more and more people using their mobile phones as an everyday camera, our Anthem application offers an easy way for people to quickly and easily share digital photos with their friends cross-platform."
