Intercasting revamps Anthem social networking platform
Mobile social networking firm Intercasting Corporation announced an upgrade to its Anthem social application platform to support a series of additional communication services like email and instant messaging. According to Intercasting, the cloud-hosted solution includes unified messaging, device integration and an application portal, promising a smartphone-caliber user experience for the feature phone segment--its tiled user interface can be personalized to manage all types of social communication, complete with one-click access to phone contacts, social networking sites and messaging services.
Intercasting notes that Anthem's hosted architecture enables applications to be developed and maintained server side, meaning apps can be rendered on mobile devices either via preloading or direct integration into the device UI--the firm adds that future applications and features may be plugged in with no client upgrade required. The revamped Anthem is now available to mobile operators worldwide, with Intercasting transitioning existing customers to the new technology starting this quarter.
