iPhone App Store tops 100 million downloads

Apple announced that iPhone and iPod touch users have downloaded more than 100 million applications from the App Store since the computing giant opened the digital marketplace on July 11. According to Apple, there are now over 3,000 mobile applications available via the App Store--90 percent are priced at less than $10, and more than 600 are free.
