I am not surprised - how can Apple expect to grow when you can't get on the network or find truly useful applications for business - sure my iphone was great for gaming, but when it came to email, SMS, the PHONE GETTING DECENT RECEPTION ENOUGHT TO USE AS A PHONE - Apple falls short - as with all things mobile I am sure they will catch up again, however, my Android phone is just so much more useful in all mobile phone use areas.
As a developer with multiple apps on both Apple and Android - To me Apple has just been difficult and arrogant - while Android has been helpful and encouraging.
The iphone is no more than a glorified feature phone. It has some excellent features, but to a user combining business apps with personal use, the iphone will have to come along way. By the time Apple makes the changes needed to truly dominate-Blackberry and android will jump forward again. The iphone is a fun phone. A smart phone? No.
Iphone has got 63,7% not 6,7% like in your article. Clearly a misprint. You'd better correct it, guys.
Do the math:
iPhone - 1 handset in production
Android - Multiple Handsets now in production and growing
