KDDI intros behavioral targeted advertising

Japanese operator KDDI announced it will introduce an advanced behavioral targeting advertisement system that analyzes mobile users' website logs and visit frequency to serve ads tailored to their habits. The system, which will debut in late September in conjunction with KDDI's new "au one" integrated portal, was co-developed by KDDI's media advertising affiliate and the Digital Advertising Consortium--mediba will provide targeted advertisements based on users' visits to specialized mobile websites within the au one portal, e.g. automobile, game and music sites.
