KDDI teams with bank for mobile wallet service

Japanese wireless operator KDDI Corp has teamed with credit card operator JCB to develop a mobile payment solution. The proposed service would employ chips containing and transmitting users' credit card info embedded in mobile phones, which can then be waved in front of point-of-sale receivers to make purchases.
