Kiip debuts mobile rewards network, lands $4M in Series A
San Francisco-based startup Kiip has formally launched its mobile in-game rewards network after seven months in stealth mode. Kiip delivers branded offers and rewards at precise moments of mobile gaming achievement--e.g., reaching a higher level or completing a puzzle challenge.
In addition, the solution allows marketers to match higher value rewards to higher difficulty achievements, boosting customer retention and engagement in the process. The Kiip network currently spans across 15 mobile game titles--brand partners include Dr. Pepper, GNC, Sephora, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, and 1-800-Flowers.com.
Kiip announced the close of a $4 million Series A financing round last week, led by investors Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and True Ventures.
