Kyte partners with Sony Music on mobile video
Digital media platform Kyte announced an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment to provide an online and mobile video channel enabling the label's artists to interact with fans in the U.S. and Germany. The end-to-end Kyte platform enables media and entertainment brands to create or upload live and on-demand online and mobile video, distribute content to multiple online and mobile destinations simultaneously, build communities via multimedia chat and branded user-generated content, and report and measure distribution and audience engagement.
According to Kyte, Sony Music acts including Franz Ferdinand, John Legend and Raheem DeVaughn have embraced the firm's production tools to deliver digital content, including video streamed live from mobile handsets while the artists are on tour, in the studio and during live performances. Kyte adds that Legend even used the Kyte Mobile Producer to broadcast behind-the-scenes footage from last week's all-star Inauguration Concert event at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
