LG embedding GyPSii location services

LG Electronics announced an agreement with GyPSii to embed the geo-location and mobile social networking provider's digital lifestyle applications across a range of new wireless devices. Per terms of the agreement, LG phones will include GyPSii services including user-generated content sharing, friend finding and social networking applications, all available for viewing on maps. The services will be offered in partnership with Intrinsyc, LG's navigation solution provider. The deal calls for LG and GyPSii to share advertising and sponsorship revenues generated by GyPSii services.

LG will initially introduce the new lifestyle services on Windows Mobile-based devices, followed by Android and Java-enabled phones. On Monday, the manufacturer confirmed it will release a series of Android devices this year.
