Lil Wayne's 'Lollipop' tops 2008 ringtone downloads
Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" is the most downloaded ringtone of 2008 according to mobile entertainment firm Zed. After crunching ringtone and wallpaper sales completed between Jan. 1 and Nov. 10 across Zed channels including RealTone JukeBox and Univision Tonos, the company reports that T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" ringtone finished the year in second place, followed in descending order by Flo Rida's "Low," Ray J's "Sexy Can I (Chorus)," Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl," J. Holiday's "Suffocate," Usher's "Love in This Club," Rick Ross' "The Boss," Saving Abel's "Addicted" and Buckcherry's "Crazy Bitch."
Other 2008 bestsellers, according to Zed: The Zac Brown Band's "Chicken Fried" was the newcomer of the year, the Sex and the City movie theme was the most popular chick flick tone, Young Jeezy's "My President" was the most popular 2008 election tone and Britney Spears claimed comeback artist of the year thanks to "Womanizer." As for wallpapers, The Dark Knight's "Why So Serious? (Joker)" topped action film image sales, and "Beijing 2008" took the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics image category.
