Loopt debuts webisode promotion
Social-mapping and communication service Loopt will launch a new digital marketing campaign spotlighting a series of webisodes promoting the mobile service. Loopt collaborated with independent production studio Black20 on the series, which features David Price, host of the late-night Internet comedy program The Middle Show--in each two-minute episode, Price navigates his way through New York City with the assistance of Loopt's friend-finder software, with new episodes debuting weekly on social networking and user-generated content sites including Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. Loopt also plans a separate digital campaign, "Follow the Music," enabling fans to track and interact with up-and-coming bands over the course of their summer tour itineraries.
