Loopt expands onto BlackBerry platform
Social mapping and communication service provider Loopt announced its free location-based service is now available for the BlackBerry device platform. According to Loopt, BlackBerry users on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Alltel can now share location updates, geo-tagged photos and comments with friends across multiple devices, operators and social networking services. A recent IDC report notes that BlackBerry maker Research In Motion leads the industry in U.S. smartphone sales with 44.5 percent market share.
