Mark Cuban leads SMaSh Technologies funding

Tools

Mobile messaging application server provider SMaSh Technologies announced the close of a $1.35 million investment round led by billionaire businessman, HDNet chairman and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Seed-stage investment group Innovation Works and Dr. Ihor Lys (named 2008 National Inventor of the Year by the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation) also contributed. According to SMaSh, its patent-pending platform enables feature-rich and transactional SMS-based applications, promising businesses the tools to more efficiently develop and launch pre-configured services like menu-based information navigation, multiple-touch interactions, reminders, "add to favorites" functionality, subscription notifications, lookups and scheduling. The startup adds the new funding will expand its product development and delivery of customer solutions.
