Match.com goes mobile

Tools

Online personals site Match.com announced the launch of MatchMobile, a new text alert and user profile search service powered by mobile community applications and technologies provider Trilibis Mobile. MatchMobile enables subscribers to send and receive free text messages when a fellow user "winks" or e-mails in response to their dating profiles, as well as search user profiles. For $4.99 per month, Match.com members also may read and respond to e-mail via mobile device. The service is now available in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., with nine additional international markets scheduled to go live by the end of 2007.

"With the new MatchMobile, we are letting people connect with their matches the same way they connect with their colleagues, friends and family--instantly and through the convenience of a cell phone," said Thomas Enraght-Moony, Match.com CEO. "With MatchMobile, we have changed the dating dynamics. We have taken away the waiting and wondering by giving members instant access to not only emails and winks, but also the entire Match.com network, whenever and wherever they are."
