mBlox debuts Free to End User messaging service
Mobile transaction network mBlox announced the U.S. launch of its cross-operator Free to End User messaging service, promising content and service providers a channel to communicate with consumers via SMS while absorbing the costs of all operator billing fees. According to mBlox, while most U.S. subscribers pay network operator charges to send and receive text messages, FTEU charges all fees to the sender, enabling enterprises to communicate directly with customers without fear of backlash.
mBlox notes that FTEU will initially launch on AT&T and T-Mobile USA before expanding to other operators. The firm adds that some financial institutions have already begun trialing the new services, informing customers of the status of their credit applications and welcoming new accounts.
