MediaFLO USA whips up Food Network mobile channel
Qualcomm's mobile broadcast unit MediaFLO USA announced a partnership with lifestyle media giant Scripps Networks to launch a new Food Network programming effort available via AT&T Mobile TV. The Food Network FLO TV lifestyle service--Scripps Networks' maiden voyage into mobile TV--spotlights home and cooking tips for viewers planning their Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's and bowl game celebrations. In addition to segments featuring Food Network talent like Paula Dean, Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis and Rachael Ray, the mobile channel will also offer content from Scripps networks including HGTV, DIY Network and Fine Living Network. The FLO channel will air from mid-November through Feb. 3.
