Medio, mPoria partner for mobile advertising
Mobile commerce technology provider mPoria announced a strategic partnership with mobile search and advertising solutions provider Medio Systems. Per terms of the agreement, Medio will serve ads across its MobileNow Ad Network to mPoria's retail customers--retailers will pay only when consumers click on their mobile ads. The partnership is part of mPoria's GM3 program, a merchant marketing initiative announced last month--the company said the MobileNow Ad Network complements its efforts by enabling mPoria merchants to effectively advertise and drive consumers to their mobile shopping sites via highly targeted mobile ad campaigns. "Just like the online world, in mobile you can't simply offer merchandise on a mobile site and expect people to find and buy it," said Medio Systems chief advertising officer Omar Tawakol in a prepared statement. "Mobile advertising is crucial to bringing new audiences to mobile sites and we make it easy and affordable via a cost per click model."
