Metric: DRM/CA market for mobile to near $1B by 2010

Tools

According to a new study from iSuppli, the market for digital rights management (DRM) and conditional access (CA) software and services for mobile is currently valued below $200 million, but the market will grow to approach $1 billion by 2010. What's more, mobile content protected by DRM/CA in 2010 will approach an estimated value of $20 billion. The vast majority of the DRM/CA market is currently targeting the set-top box market and includes a mix of Intellectual Property royalties, client software and server/subscriber software and represents a market with revenue just under $1 billion in 2005.
