MI3 game goes mobile first
Mobile game company Gameloft is set to launch Mission: Impossible 3 in May to wireless subscribers of 150 carriers worldwide, and the game will be released for mobile phones before it hits consoles or other gaming platforms. The release also coincides with the premier date of the film itself, which allows it to function as an effective marketing tool. Gameloft CEO Michael Guillemot said, "As handsets become more sophisticated, the gaming capabilities will continue to exceed most people's expectations. There's all this talk about the next generation of consoles, but the next generation in gaming is in the mobile platform." The film's star, Tom Cruise, did not allow his likeness or voice to be used in the game.
