Microsoft inks mobile ad deal with CNBC
Microsoft announced an agreement with CNBC to become the exclusive third-party display advertising partner for the cable channel's mobile WAP site. The deal--Microsoft's first mobile ad syndication deal in the U.S.--heralds an extension of the online advertising agreement the companies announced late last year. The Ford Motor Co. has already signed on to launch a mobile advertising campaign on the CNBC site, with Microsoft serving mobile display ads. According to CNBC, the mobile site, which features real-time financial quotes and breaking news alerts, boasts an audience of 1.1 million unique monthly visitors.
