Microsoft joins mobile search ad club

Microsoft has added a search-based mobile advertising component to its Windows Live Search mobile app. Each time a user enters a relevant search term, Windows Live Search will display paid advertisements related to the search along with the regular search results, similar to the paid search ads on Google. Microsoft teamed with Ingenio's Pay Per Call listings service to provide the capability. Both Google and Yahoo introduced similar sponsored mobile search deals in the last month.
