Millennial expands mobile ad offering

Tools

Millennial Media, the mobile advertising start-up headed by former Verizon Wireless executive Paul Palmieri, is rounding out its mobile ad offering with the introduction of two new product offerings that cater to advertising customers on both ends of the spectrum. Millennial Motion is a combination of technology and services that will help agencies and advertisers deploy rich media mobile campaigns. Decktrade is a performance-based auction service that is geared toward direct marketers and publishers. Palmieri says that these two new offerings, combined with the company's flagship product Millennial Marketplace, will provide advertisers with the full range of mobile ad opportunities.

Millennial Motion is targeted to high-end brands and will provide rich, animated advertisements including video. "An agency can build the way they normally build a campaign and we will convert it to rich media assets for mobile," Palmieri said. Meanwhile, Decktrade is intended for mobile publishers, direct-to-consumer content firms and developers that want to specifically target their service. "Rather than being just a click-auction for text links, Palmieri says Decktrade supports banners, text links and renders text into a banner. - Sue
