Miyowa scores $8 million in Series B

Mobile IM and presence applications provider Miyowa announced completion of a Series B financing round totaling $8 million, bringing the firm's financing to date to $12.7 million. Techfund (which funded Miyowa's Series A financing push in September 2006) and Credit Agricole Private Equity led the round. According to Miyowa, the venture infusion will combine with revenue derived from recent mobile operator contract wins to fund commercial acceleration of its existing product suite, bring to market an enriched mobile IM solution and expand operations in the U.S. and Asia.
