MMA president Laura Marriott to resign

Non-profit trade group the Mobile Marketing Association announced that global president Laura Marriott will resign her post later this year, with the MMA Board immediately launching its search for her replacement. Marriott has led the MMA since 2005 and will guide the organization through its upcoming transition before assuming the position of president emeritus on the MMA Global Board of Advisors. Under Marriott's leadership, MMA membership experienced significant international growth, establishing global headquarters and regional chapters in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa, North America and, most recently, Latin America. The group also spearheaded guidelines for mobile advertising, mobile commerce and mobile search.
