MMA publishes Mobile Banking Overview

Non-profit industry trade group the Mobile Marketing Association announced the publication of its Mobile Banking Overview, which analyzes the marketing opportunities awaiting the financial sector as it continues to introduce mobile applications and services. Primary subjects of the overview include market size, consumer-focused mobile banking products and services, and the mobile media channels available to banks and other financial institutions; in addition, the MMA offers insight on optimizing mobile banking communications and campaign effectiveness within each channel.

Spearheaded by the MMA North America Mobile Banking Sub-Committee of the MMA Global Mobile Commerce Committee, the Mobile Banking Overview includes participation from member companies including Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, Sprint and Virgin Mobile USA as well as a number of financial institutions and mobile banking solutions developers. The MMA this week also published an updated version of its Mobile Advertising Overview. First published in April 2008, the overview is designed for newcomers to the mobile advertising sector, promising an overview of the mobile media channels now available as well as outlining the benefits and considerations to improve campaign effectiveness and bolster consumer satisfaction.
