MMA revises Global Mobile Advertising Guidelines
Non-profit industry trade group the Mobile Marketing Association published the latest version of its Global Mobile Advertising Guidelines, touting a focus on new advertising units and specifications. According to the MMA, the guidelines provide global formats, guidelines and best practices to introduce advertising initiatives across a variety of mobile media channels, including web, messaging, downloadable applications and video.
Major revisions include:
- Global requirements for mobile application ad units
- New advertising units and definitions across channels
- New length requirements for mobile video and TV ad units
- Recommended future mobile web banner ad requirements
