Mobile ad network Jumptap wraps up $25M financing round
Mobile advertising solutions provider Jumptap has completed a new round of funding totaling $25 million, bringing the firm's combined financing to over $90 million. Existing investors including AllianceBernstein, General Catalyst, Redpoint Ventures, Summerhill Ventures, Valhalla Partners and WPP all participated in the latest round, along with several new investors. Jumptap said it will leverage the new funding to support product and technology development, also adding staffing to support increasing client demand.
Jumptap's targeted mobile advertising solutions serve digital and media agencies, publishers, wireless carriers and brand advertisers across multiple platforms. The firm now reaches 83 million consumers each month, up 30 percent year-over-year--Jumptap now partners with more than 10,000 sites and apps, receiving more than 10 billion ad requests in April 2011. Jumptap credits the growth to deeper reach into verticals including automotive, entertainment, consumer packaged goods and financial services. The company's portfolio also includes over a dozen technology patents.
