While very much in its infancy, mobile advertising is beginning to get some attention. In particular, short-code interactive "ads" disguised as services are gaining traction. Over time, a workable advertising model could help subsidize the costs of today's more outrageous content subscription and on-demand fees and (gasp) actually DRIVE adoption. Of course like anything else with mobile, concerns exist over how to divvy up the revenues, and how to make it unobtrusive to end users.
