Mobile connected devices now 21% of Millennial ad impressions

Mobile connected devices like Apple's new iPad and the Sony PSP now represent more than a fifth of all mobile ad impressions across the Millennial Media network, according to the firm's latest Scorecard for Mobile Advertising Reach and Targeting report. Mobile connected devices accounted for 21 percent of Millennial ad impressions in March, compared to 45 percent for smartphones and 34 percent for feature phones.

While Apple's iPhone OS remains the leading operating system on the Millennial network, generating 70 percent of all smartphone impressions in March, Google's Android continues to grow, increasing 3 percentage points month-over-month to capture 6 percent of total U.S. impressions. Research In Motion's BlackBerry platform remains in second place, commanding 14 percent of smartphone impressions. Millennial Media now reaches 83 percent of all mobile device users.
