Mobile gaming in Europe holds promise
Frost & Sullivan seeing the expected launch of new game titles and advanced mobile handsets as contributing to a slow--but steady--growth of mobile gaming revenues on the continent. The group says mobile games will generate €850 million in 2006 and grow to €2.4 billion by 2012. Restraining more robust growth are problems with super distribution and off-content sales, interoperability between devices and applications and high porting costs.
