Mobile Marketing Association restructures
Non-profit industry trade group the Mobile Marketing Association announced a plan to restructure its four operating regions--Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and North America--into business units, expanding the roles and responsibilities of each region's managing director to better address local market needs and guarantee global scalability. According to the MMA, managing directors will strive to foster strong member communities, form new in-country local councils and oversee MMA Forum events in addition to monitoring adherence to the organization's Consumer Best Practices guidelines.
iLoop Mobile founder Michael Becker will assume the role of North American managing director, working alongside Paul Berney in EMEA and Rohit Dadwal in APAC--the managing directors will report to interim MMA CEO Federico Pisani Massamormile. The trade group adds it continues to search for a new CEO.
