Mobile Messenger acquires m-Qube from VeriSign

Tools

Mobile solutions provider Mobile Messenger announced an agreement to acquire mobile messaging aggregator m-Qube from its parent firm, network infrastructure services provider VeriSign. Financial terms were not disclosed. Per terms of the deal, Mobile Messenger obtains m-Qube's direct connections to carriers in the U.S. and Canada along with its commercial messaging and premium mobile content delivery business.

Mobile Messenger--which helps clients develop, distribute and monetize digital content through mobile devices--was previously m-Qube's largest client. m-Qube's Boston office will continue operating as a unit of Mobile Messenger, and will serve as the company's global technology headquarters--newly-appointed CTO Purandar Das will lead the integration and spearhead Mobile Messenger's Boston-area technology operations.
