'Mobiscodes' spawn 'retrosodes'

I swear, these cutesy titles for mobile stuff make me want to puke, but the idea is actually a pretty cool one. U.K. mobile media firm Player X, in partnership with Universal Mobile Entertainment, is making an animated made-for-mobile series of two-minute shorts based on 80s hit TV shows like "Magnum P.I." and "Knight Rider". They are very much a tongue-in-check versions of the original shows, capitalizing on our now-hip interpretation of the cheesy shows that everybody took seriously back in the day. They will go live in the first quarter of next year.
