MobiTV debuts cross-platform DRM solution

Mobile broadcast solutions provider MobiTV announced the release of a new Digital Rights Management solution enabling users to store content on their handsets for offline viewing whenever and wherever they wish. According to MobiTV, the solution enables its managed technology platform carriers and operator customers to introduce new initiatives including subscriptions, rental, content metering and content sharing across multiple devices and platforms, adding that extending the same DRM solution across platforms reduces costs and enables more efficient authentication, with minimal end user involvement.
