As we reported a few days ago, InfoSpace has now officially launched its direct-to-consumer (d2c) portal, Moviso, which will enable the company to sell directly to consumers, rather than indirectly through carrier decks. The storefront includes content from Universal Pictures, Corbis, Getty Images, Warner Music Group and EMI Music. InfoSpace's president of mobile and online media, Stephen Davis: "Moviso is a natural evolution for InfoSpace and we expect it to be a major focus of our mobile media strategy moving forward." Subscribers to Cingular Wireless, Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile USA have access to Moviso with others to follow.
