Motorola CEO Zander stepping down
Embattled handset maker Motorola announced that CEO Ed Zander will step down on Jan. 1. President and COO Greg Brown will replace Zander, who will remain as chairman until Motorola's annual shareholders meeting in May 2008. The news follows a third quarter in which Motorola's profits plummeted by 94 percent, with quarterly handset sales dropping 36 percent to $4.5 billion.
