Motorola developing mobile movie service

Tools

Motorola is reportedly developing a digital movie retail effort that would offer full-length motion pictures reformatted for the handset maker's multimedia devices. According to New Media Age, Motorola is in the "late stages" of development and plans to launch the service as soon as late May, with Paramount Pictures already signed on as a content partner and other production studios deep in negotiations. The service would enable consumers to download films via PC and sideload the content to their Motorola devices. Pricing details and content rental/purchase options remain unknown.
