Motorola intros Chinese m-commerce solution

Motorola announced the launch of a mobile commerce solution deployed by Union Mobile Pay, a mobile payment firm established by operator China Mobile and credit card services provider China UnionPay. The deployment--Motorola's first m-commerce initiative in the Chinese market--consists of an m-wallet and back-end management platform, promising an enhanced user interface enabling mobile consumers to personalize account inquiries, money transfers, bill payments, utility payments and e-ticketing. The Motorola platform also provides business-to-consumer solutions like merchant membership cards, electronic couponing and prepaid cards.
