Motricity debuts mCore MobileCast content management solution

Tools

Mobile content solutions provider Motricity unveiled mCore MobileCast, a content management service promising to deliver relevant media, applications and digital goods directly to subscribers' smartphones. MobileCast leverages consumer preferences and insights to offer a personalized user experience engineered to simplify content discovery--operators and enterprises can develop and offer a range of content formats (including HTML5, audio, video and text) to devices like iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 smartphones, driving brand awareness, promotions and commerce. MobileCast use-case examples include targeted marketing, mobile commerce transactions and dynamic content suggestions based on past usage and preferences--in addition, it includes a complete suite of reporting and insight generation tools, enabling results reporting and real-time adjustment and optimization of campaigns.

MobileCast is offered in association with Motricity's hosted, mobile-as-a-service mCore platform, which gives operators tools to manage their mobile content, web, messaging and marketing efforts--per an SEC filing earlier this year, the firm provides mobile data services to more than 30 million subscribers worldwide. Motricity reported Q2 2010 revenues of $30.4 million in its first quarter as a publicly traded company, up 5 percent sequentially, and forecasts Q3 revenues will increase to about $37 million to $38 million, galvanized by accelerating mobile mobile data services usage among its carrier customers' subscribers as well as the deployment of new solutions.
