Musiwave chirps over Cricket deal

Tools

Music services provider Musiwave announced it will launch its solution via Leap Wireless' Cricket Communications network later this year, heralding the European mobile entertainment firm's first expansion into the U.S. market. "As demand for mobile music services increases globally, we are excited to bring our level of innovation to the U.S. market with a forward-thinking operator like Cricket," said Musiwave North America's director of operations Daniel Cohen in a prepared statement. "Our work with Cricket Communications will allow their consumers to personalize the mobile experience and interact with music in ways not previously possible."

Musiwave's current product lineup includes the full-track mobile music subscription offering Music on Demand Service; Smart Radio, an interactive streaming radio service; and Music Wizard, which enables subscribers to identify songs over their mobile devices. The Cricket agreement expands its partnership portfolio to more than three dozen operators in 25 countries.
