Muze debuts new music samples service

Entertainment search, discovery and purchase solutions provider Muze announced the launch of MuzeTunes 2.0, a new version of its streaming music service promising an enhanced catalog, new formats and delivery to mobile phones. According to Muze, the service now delivers more than 5 million fully-licensed streaming music samples, enabling consumers to discover new music, find related songs and artists, and purchase music and related merchandise, all from a catalog spanning from current hits to out-of-print titles. New MuzeTunes 2.0 features include streaming formats optimized for music-enabled mobile devices, six codec options (SWF, AAC+, AMR-NB, MP3, Real Audio and Windows Media) and five bit rates (12.2, 16, 20, 32 and 64 kbps), enhanced security, unique IDs for each sample, hosted cover art delivery and expanded sales and marketing analysis.
