My Verizon Mobile management tool preloaded on Android phones

Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) introduced My Verizon Mobile, a management tool enabling subscribers to supervise their accounts and monitor usage--preloaded on all of the operator's Android smartphones, the app is also available as a free update for the BlackBerry Storm and Storm2 devices. With My Verizon Mobile, consumers can view minute, message and data usage, adjust allowance minutes on current plans, make one-time payments and establish auto-pay options, check out their contract status and upgrade eligibility, and manage Friends & Family numbers. The app also features access to Verizon's Family Locator app, which provides location information and interactive maps to identify family members' current whereabouts, complete with turn-by-turn driving directions. Verizon Wireless adds that in the months ahead it will roll out My Verizon Mobile to additionally BlackBerry smartphones as well as feature and 3G multimedia phones.
