Myxer adds Sony Music Entertainment catalog

Mobile entertainment destination Myxer announced an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment to make the label's catalog of full-length downloads, music videos, images and ringtones available to its community of 35 million unique users. Per terms of the deal, which covers the U.S., Sony Music artists are also given access to the Myxer MobileStage customizable mobile website solution, which includes fan-list management features, advanced data analytics, messaging and related marketing tools. The Sony Music catalog includes affiliate labels like Columbia, RCA, Epic and Jive.

Earlier this month, Myxer inked a similar deal with Sony rival Warner Music Group. In conjunction with the launch of MobileStage's new WMG channel, Warner acts like B.o.B, Flo Rida, Iyaz, Jason Derulo, Paramore and Sean Paul are offering listeners a free mobile wallpaper with the purchase of a ringtone.
